BOOKING & PLANNING

How long does it take to organise a trip?

At Terrafrica Safari Co., we typically provide your initial itinerary within a few days. We begin by scheduling a call to understand your preferences, interests, and ideas for your chosen African destination. After this consultation, we curate a tailor-made safari itinerary and send it to you within a few days. You can then refine the details with your travel companions before confirming.

Do you organise family-friendly safaris?

Absolutely! We work with numerous family-friendly lodges and camps across Africa. We can tailor your safari program to suit the ages and interests of your children, ensuring an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Can you arrange short trips, such as weekend safaris?

Certainly! At Terrafrica Safari Co., we can organise safaris of any length or intensity. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or an extended African adventure, we’re here to help.

Do you book flights?

While we don’t include plane tickets, airport taxes, and airfare fees in our proposals, we create your itinerary based on existing flights and advise you on the best options. You’re responsible for booking international flights once you confirm the trip. However, we can book domestic flights for you for an additional fee, including private jets and charters through our network.

PAYMENT & PRICING

When do I need to pay for my safari?

We require a 30% deposit of the total safari cost at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due 65 days before your departure date. For bookings within six weeks of departure, full payment is required at booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our preferred method of payment is via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Payment by credit card is also possible with a surcharge of 3.5%, which is non-refundable by insurance companies. Our prices are expressed in EUR € or USD $ per booking for the total number of participants.

Do you provide price breakdowns?

The details of included services are precisely defined in the final price summary. Our prices include our technical expertise (product research, intervention, approach, and commercial margin). We don’t provide further price breakdowns due to confidential contracted rates with our suppliers.

TRIP DETAILS

What’s included in my safari package?

Your booking confirmation document will detail all included services. Typically, our safari packages include meal plans, excursions, and transfers.

What’s not included in my safari package?

Unless otherwise stated, our safari packages don’t include:

Formalities fees (vaccinations, passport, visa, etc.)
Room occupancy for early arrival or late departure
Personal insurance (cancellation, assistance, repatriation, luggage)
Exit taxes, airport taxes, airfare fees
International flight bookings
Excess luggage
Services before check-in at departure airport and after check-in at return airport
Exceptional expenses due to unforeseen events (strikes, bad weather, etc.)
Transit night in case of pre/post routing without same-day connection
Meals for your guide if you invite them to dine with you
Personal expenses (laundry, communication charges, internet access)

TRAVEL PREPARATIONS

Do you assist with the visa process?

We inform clients about necessary administrative formalities (ID, passport, visa, entry forms) before booking confirmation. While completion and costs are the client’s responsibility, we can handle these formalities for an additional fee.

Do I need travel insurance?

While travel insurance isn’t included in our packages, it is a condition of travel that clients have their own comprehensive medical and travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation at the time of confirmation.

Do I need vaccines for my safari?

We inform clients about necessary health and sanitary formalities (vaccinations, etc.) before booking confirmation. Completion and costs are the client’s responsibility.

How can I provide feedback?

We value your feedback! After your safari, we’ll send you an initial feedback form with questions and ratings about your trip. We’ll also arrange a phone call to discuss your journey and our service in detail, which helps us remember your preferences for future adventures.
